The day will cover some of the essential issues in hearing aid dispensing, with the emphasis on the practical aspects of the work, and the aim of helping dispensers to avoid mistakes and the consequent difficulties. Topics will include:

  • Physiology of deafness, understanding common types of hearing loss

  • Best aid selection and programming for different hearing loss types.

  • Spatial Awareness - how do we hear in a 3-D world, and can hearing aids provide normal 3-D hearing for our patients?

  • Hearing Aid legislation after the HAC.

  • Exhibition by Oticon.

The day will include a short assessment - just for fun!

 

Continuing Professional Development:

BAA, BSHAA and HAC accreditation pending. Certificates of course completion will be provided for CPD purposes.
