Certificate in Otoscopy & Impression Taking |

|
This course is for
those who are not audiologists by profession but who need to be able to
perform a safe impression taking procedure.
For example school staff, practice nurses, ATO’s, GPs and
health visitors. It is expected that delegates for this course will have
some prior knowledge of audiology (if in doubt please ask). The aim of this course is to ensure such staff are able to perform these tasks on adults and children over 5 safely, correctly and in accordance with the current BSA recommended procedures. The course meets the requirements of the British Society of Audiology Guidelines on Otoscopy and Impression Taking and is accredited by the BSA, who can advise on additional training for those working with the under-5s. Assessment will be
through practical observation, oral test and a written test paper as
homework. Small class size will ensure personal attention.
